Economy!

I'm listening to Mr President. I'm happy he is taking a stand against the economy issues. But it goes to show the lack of concern by the former administration. I see him trying and for me that is somewhat comforting, but the problem is the rest of the government. I have seen 8 presidents and very conscious of 6 of them. I was too young for the Nixon and Ford administrations. I watched American presidents that put the people 1st and some that seem to not care a bit about us. I was raised a Democrat, but have always wanted to vote for the better candidate. The past 3 elections have been a choice of the best of what's left. I was not an Obama supporter during the primaries, but I came aboard once he received the democratic nomination. I understand that we NEEDED a change. This really was not an option. To make my point, I see that we lived 8 years with a leader that only thought of himself. I'm looking at a land that is just fighting for survival. I see a country that does not realize that the economical crisis is more deadly than they think. You look at the crime rates rising, and it is rising due to the economy. Look at the more home invasions, muggings, and killings since the Hurricanes in La. We were headed down prior to the storms, but they were the straws that broke the proverbial camel's back. 911 has turned into the longest terrorist attack in history. This could not have planned this perfectly 9 years, or could it? We have spent trillions of dollars (that don't even sound right) on the wars we are currently involved in. We can not wonder why we are suffering. We are spread all over the world. I really try to understand what is really going on. We lost 3000+ in the 911 attack. We have lost 4000+ American soldiers. And we lost 640 Americans in Afghanistan. Over 7600 Americans killed from one terrorist attack. We lost 2 symbols of America. We were thrown in to a recession. We have suffered the lost of job to the extent that everyone in the nation feels the strain except The New York Yankees. But nevertheless we have watched Americans lose faith and hope. One attack sent us into a toilet. We were spiraling down since September 11 2oo1. This is better than fiction. In the midst of turmoil and problems this is when the super hero swoops in saves the day. But when we were at our lowest point we turned to a Black man from a single parent home. Wow.. could not have made this up. Boy can I rant and ramble or what?

I agree in most part. I agree with the understanding that the media (that does provoke fear) is a necessary evil. We need the media to sometimes stir the consciousness of the nation. We live in a world of ostriches. We don't want to hear the negativity and depression of the times so we stick our heads in the ground wait. Waiting til we have no choice but to act. Case in point, we allowed GW Bush to steal 8 years and 2 elections, $$$billlions in war support, all the reserve cash AKA his stimulus packages and not to mention the money he fed the oil companies. We allowed him to make his oil buddies richer that they ever imagined while in turn taking this country down to levels not seen since the 1930's. If the news did not push, right now we would have 4 more years of Republican leadership , 4 more years poverty being the largest part of society. With most families still fighting to decide between food or gas, the news has it's purpose and yes sometimes they push the wrong ideas too far, but sometimes it is a great help to get the word out. I personally don't like the news and I turn as fast as my fat fingers can, but my wife has made me stop and pay more attention to the news. She has shown me to stop listening to all the bad and filter through what I need then retain what is vital to me. The point of the whole WMD thing was a cover up to finish family business. The Bushes had a particular agenda when they entered the white house. I believe that George W was just finishing his daddy's business and found a way to make him and his friends (Supporters) rich and happy.
I have very definite ideas and thoughts about the former administration. This was a president that seemed to do everything he could to hurt this country and people act like he is Bruce Willis in Armegeddon! Bush committed crimes and no one is exploring this. They tried to crucify Clinton and Reagan and impeached Nixon, But George W is beyond reproach. Well let me stop my conspiracy theories.

I agree with your post. I do know the need of the media it is very important that we have them. It is just amazing how they push whatever agenda that they deem necessary. Oh yeah I have tons of stuff on The Bushes. How can the country allow that to happen? lol Great post Cornell lets do this again.

Sitting alone stunned and perplexed, our hero is stuck in a dilemma. On one hand he is feeling like things he does are wrong. Good intentions that turn for the worst. On the other hand he looks to blessings en route to change his meager existence. “What do I do he thinks to himself. “ I feel like I can’t change anything. It feels like everyone and no one is mad at me. What is going on?” He asks himself. With his hands cradling his throbbing skull, and a single tear welling up in his right eye. He holds his head up and realizes things are just an illusion. He sees that he is blinded. His view distorted. He understands he is just caught up in self pity. He has allowed the devil to hit him with his biggest weapon against black folks. No not drugs, but something 10 times more destructive.. Depression!!!. Yes he has infused our hero with depression, the disease that causes black folks to self destruct. Our hero has fought this villain before and sustained permanent reminders of their previous battles. These scars are still fresh in our hero’s mind, but he can not allow these fears to stop him from moving forward. . Depression is a incredible opponent. It has a very simple solution, but it is hard to get the solution. Depression is a matrix problem. It is not simple like a cold or flu. No antibiotic will phase it and most drugs just alter or post pone it, but No drug will stop it. This is a software problem. This is like the virus you get on your computer. You need to clean depression off your hard drive cause depression like any other software virus slow down your processing speed, stop system from running to capacity; Destroys saved data, and slowly breaks down your mind! The only defeat to depression is love. Yes Love! Love can stop and destroy depression. Love can stop the symptoms almost immediately. Now the problem with love is that it takes a special specific formation of love to solve your problem. But each person has their own individual chemical makeup and needs a specific combination to solve each individual condition. Our hero needs to find the combination of love that will remove the devils’ spyware from his brain. What can our hero do? Where will he turn? How will he figure out the combination and will he do it in time?
